Brian, a hardworking farmer and family man from Kilkeel was attended to by the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) when he required their support at his family farm on Monday 23rd September 2019 but unfortunately later passed away in hospital.

Speaking about why they chose to support the charity, the family said, “The care and attention of the Air Ambulance team on arrival at our farm was outstanding.  It is such a critical service for our local community and we wanted to support them whatever way we could.  We asked for donations in lieu of flowers and were overwhelmed by the support from our local community.  We would like to thank everyone who donated in this way and to all those people who donated at Hilltown Sale Yard through the auction of a lamb and the gentleman who donated through the sale of pups.”
