Club Captain Stefan McNeill and Club President Hamilton Loney of Tandragee Golf Club have continued the club’s tradition of supporting Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI), raising an impressive £3,020.89 for the lifesaving charity this year. This brings the total contribution from Tandragee Golf Club’s years of fundraising efforts to an incredible £11,604.
The latest donation was raised through successful Captain and President’s dinners hosted at the golf club, where members came together to support the vital work of the air ambulance service. This remarkable contribution is a testament to the ongoing generosity and commitment of the club’s members.
“We are deeply grateful for the continued backing from Tandragee Golf Club,” said Amy Henshaw, Area Fundraising Manager at Air Ambulance NI. “Over the years, the support from the club has made a significant impact, helping us to deliver critical care across Northern Ireland. Their latest donation of over £3,000 is a wonderful boost, and we thank Club Captain Stefan McNeill, Club President Hamilton Loney, and all the members for their outstanding generosity.”
Stefan and Hamilton shared their appreciation for the tremendous support from the club members, stating, “This amazing result would not have been possible without the ongoing dedication of our members. We’re proud to be part of a club that consistently steps up for important causes like Air Ambulance NI. It’s heartening to see how, over the years, our club has raised a total of £11,604 for this vital service.”
Tandragee Golf Club has a long history of championing local causes, with Air Ambulance NI being a regular beneficiary of the club’s fundraising efforts. This year’s contribution will help the charity continue to provide urgent pre-hospital care to those in need across Northern Ireland.
The charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northern Ireland. The air ambulance plays a pivotal role across the province, reaching any part of the region within a remarkable 25 minutes from its airbase in Lisburn. Tasked twice a day on average, the doctor and paramedic team respond to a variety of emergencies, from serious road traffic collisions to farm and workplace accidents, sports incidents, and medical emergencies. Every minute counts, and support from the community helps the medical crew continue to provide life-saving interventions.
As a local charity, Air Ambulance NI aims to raise £2.5 million annually to maintain this service, and support from golf clubs is crucial in sustaining operations.
