RJ Woodland Service, the Omagh based private forestry company, presented a cheque of £2,500 to Air Ambulance NI at the recent Balmoral Show.

Ross Jamieson from RJ Woodland Services said, ‘Working in forestry means we are aware of the potential need for air ambulance and whilst we all hope never to call upon the doctor and paramedic on board, it’s reassuring to know that they are there for our whole community.’

Kerry Anderson, Head of a fundraising from Air Ambulance NI said, ‘it’s wonderful to see RJ Woodland Services leading the way in the forestry sector in supporting our charity. The £2,500 contributed will go a long way in helping the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) reach the next patient.’

The HEMS has been tasked on circa 3,500 missions since it started almost six years ago. It is provided by way of a partnership between the charity and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Each day Air Ambulance NI requires fundraising of £6850 to sustain and develop the service.

Kerry added, ‘We are encouraging other businesses to support whether that is by making a donation or getting staff together in a fundraising team building event like our dragon boat race on Friday 15th September 2023.’
