McAleer & Rushe and MRP are proud to announce the successful fundraising of £5,000 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland following their participation in the 2025 Moy Park Belfast City Marathon.

On Sunday 4th May, 30 employees took part in the event, with six teams entering the team relay and five individuals completing the full 26.2-mile marathon. Their dedication and team spirit helped raise vital funds for Air Ambulance NI, the region’s only helicopter emergency medical service.

Air Ambulance NI plays a crucial role in delivering pre-hospital critical care across Northern Ireland, working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The charity relies heavily on donations to keep its life-saving operations running, and McAleer & Rushe and MRP are honoured to support such an essential cause.

This fundraising effort forms part of the company’s wider commitment to community engagement and positive social impact. As a family-owned business with deep local roots, McAleer & Rushe is passionate about supporting organisations that make a real difference to the lives of people across Northern Ireland.

Mark Diamond, Senior Director at McAleer & Rushe commented, “We are incredibly proud of our colleagues who took on this challenge with dedication and enthusiasm. Their hard work, combined with the generous support of friends, family, colleagues, and industry partners, made this achievement possible. We’re especially proud to continue our support of Air Ambulance NI and the essential, life-saving services they provide across NI.”

Damien McAnespie, Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance NI, said, “Thank you to the entire McAleer & Rushe and MRP team for their continued support of Air Ambulance NI Charity with their participation in this year’s Moy Park Belfast City Marathon. McAleer & Rushe and MRP have been an incredible supporter of our charity since its inception in 2017 and we greatly appreciate their continued support. With a fundraising need of £2.5 million per year, their huge donation will allow the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS)  team to continue to reach, treat and transport the sickest individuals in the region.”
