East Down Farmers, the esteemed animal feeds and agricultural merchants located just outside Downpatrick, have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to supporting local causes. In their most recent charitable endeavour, staff organised a Christmas Raffle, proudly raising an incredible £2,000 for local charity, Air Ambulance NI.

The great success of the raffle was only made possible by the incredible support of East Down Farmer’s loyal customers. Their generosity played a pivotal role in achieving such a remarkable fundraising total.

The funds raised will be instrumental in supporting the critical Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) team at Air Ambulance NI. This essential service serves as a lifeline for many residing in rural areas, ensuring prompt and urgent medical assistance to those facing life-threatening emergencies throughout Northern Ireland.

Amy Henshaw, Area Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance NI, expressed sincere gratitude to East Down Farmers and the entire community for their unwavering support. ‘The HEMS team are tasked on average twice a day, responding to a variety of serious incidents or accidents, from road traffic collisions to workplace and farm accidents. Your generous support enables us to continue our mission of saving lives, brains & limbs.’ Thank you.
