Foyle Food Group brought the agribusiness together in a fantastic barbeque held at the fabulous new Glenpark Estate in Omagh recently, in recognition of 25 years of the ‘Foyle Producers Club’.

Foyle Food Group established the Foyle Producers Club 25 years ago to support their farmers, now there is a dedicated members portal, information, events, and advice recognising the time and effort that goes into producing quality cattle and ensure farming excellence in beef supply chain.

Karen Kelso, Group Commercial Director said, “It was lovely to be able to host this event both in recognition of the company milestone and to raise vital funds for the air ambulance given the downturn in fundraising through the pandemic. We were bowled over by the support of our farmers to the charity – we had 300 attendees on the evening and hundreds more bought tickets knowing they couldn’t attend simply to support this incredible lifesaving service. We would like to extend thanks to our almost 80 sponsors, all who supported the night and those who attended. Music from Richie Remo and Hugo Duncan was enjoyed by all. Foyle Food Group have raised a staggering £80,000 for the Air Ambulance NI charity.”

Kerry Anderson from Air Ambulance NI said: “It was wonderful to see so many people being able to attend the Foyle Food Group Producers barbecue and to have some of the directors, organisers and sponsors visit the airbase. Sadly, there isn’t a week that goes by where there isn’t an agricultural call out, whether that is in relation to cattle, slurry, or agricultural machinery. The farming and agricultural community are incredible supporters, and we thank everyone who helped to organise, donate, sponsor and attend. This incredible donation will keep our service operating for over two weeks and in that time many people faced with a life-threatening injury or illness will have the best chance of survival.”

During the visit to the airbase Foyle Food Group learned about the clinical interventions that the medical team can perform at scene including administering blood, inducing a coma and surgical procedures.
