We were delighted to recently attend the Air Ambulances UK Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence. We are extremely proud of our volunteer Madison Crawford who was highly commended in the Young Person of the Year category! Madison is just 12 years old and has been volunteering for the charity since he was 10 years old, along with the help and guidance of his dad, Derek.

Prior to that, from only the tender age of 8, Madison was one of the first life-time subscribers to the charity’s Junior Club Membership programme, which led the way to him eventually becoming a junior volunteer.

Since starting to volunteer, Madison has become a well-known and familiar face to all at Air Ambulance NI. He is such a dedicated young person, known to turn his hand to whatever support is needed by the charity. Whether that support is with shop collections, tractor runs, Agricultural shows or merchandise stands, we can rely on Madison’s enthusiasm and ‘can do’ attitude.
