The charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland was delighted to be able to reunite its dedicated Club AANI and Junior Club members together on Saturday 7 August 2021 at the Eikon Centre, Lisburn to say thank you for their continued support.
All members are invited to the annual get together which sadly couldn’t happen in 2020 but was back bigger than ever with attendee numbers of almost 400 people. The charity’s back up helicopter was on site for members to see and have a photograph with and attendees enjoyed a BBQ, refreshments donated by Spar and a goodie bag of fresh chilled products provided by PRM Group Ltd.
Club members both adult and junior are committed to supporting the charity by way of monthly or annual subscription to help ensure sustainability of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS).
Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising at Air Ambulance NI said, “It was so special to welcome our club members together and say thank you in person. Members are the lifeblood of the charity, each month funding 2 days of the service. Becoming a Club AANI member is one of the easiest ways for someone to support us as you can sign up online and commit to a monthly amount of your choosing from £8 per month or just £5 per month for a child as a Junior Club member. It means you know you are doing your bit to keep your helicopter flying and sustaining the service now and for the future.”
As well as the annual get together, Club and Junior Club AANI members receive branded goodies relevant to the package including car sticker, notebook, pin badge, and teddy bear (for the kids!). Adult members receive a monthly email communication through which they are first to be notified of charity news and the Junior’s receive a posted quarterly pack of fun educational activities.
The charity, Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northern Ireland attending patients who are seriously ill or injured. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. It can get to anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.
Air Ambulance NI needs to raise £2million each year to maintain this service. Click here to find out more about our Club AANI membership or click here for Junior Club AANI membership. Alternatively you can contact the charity directly by calling 028 9262 2677.
