Run 5K at Night, help fund a Life-Saving Flight
Location: Belfast City Airport, Belfast City Airport, Sydenham Bypass, Belfast, BT3 9JH
Date and Time: Wednesday 10th June 2026. Race begins at 11:00pm, all runners must arrive at the airport between 9:30pm-10pm.
Distance: 5km, chip timed along the runway at Belfast City Airport
Age: 18 and over
Places available: Places are limited to 550 participants.
Entry fee: £25 per person with a required minimum sponsorship or donation of £100. The funds you raise or donate will go directly to helping our helicopter fly to those in need and is required either at point of registration or by Friday 26th June 2026.
As well as the extremely unique experience of running a Runway, your £25 entry includes:
- Unique event tech top
- Bespoke finishers medal
- Chip timed results
- Support to help you reach your minimum fundraising target of £100 including online fundraising link, tips on the best fundraising activities to organise, and supporting materials if needed such sponsor forms, buckets, banners, balloons and much more.
- On the night: Entertainment and warm up before race, water & snacks, complimentary parking onsite at the Airport
- Prizes for the top three in each category (male and female)
- Prize for the top fundraiser. Winner of our highest fundraiser prize will be announced after the event.

The Air Ambulance Runway Run will take place on Wednesday 10th June, 2026 and offers participants a unique experience of running 5K on the Belfast City Airport runway whilst raising vital funds to support your local air ambulance service.
This is a flat and fast paced 5k race, offering great opportunity for personal bests as well as prizes for first, second and third in both female and male categories.
Whether you are starting a couch to 5k, a keen supporter of Air Ambulance or, if running a runway when all flights have ceased is on your bucket list- we’d love you to join us.
The primary goal for this exclusive and unique running event is to raise vital funds to sustain our air ambulance service, which is needed on average twice per day. Your fundraising will support future patients wherever they are.
Every pound raised is helping the charity to deliver critical pre-hospital care to the most seriously ill and injured patients across Northern Ireland.
Please note that by registering for this event you are granting the organisers permission to contact you using via e-mail and mobile. There will be terms and conditions for the run including no loose objects (pens, mobile phones, water bottles, etc.) to be taken onto the runway. A valuables bag service will be available.
