Air Ambulance Northern Ireland is proud to recognise and celebrate the outstanding support of local businesses, who have helped raise £4,074 for the charity. This significant contribution could help fund almost half a day of Air Ambulance NI operations, ensuring the service is available when someone needs it most.

The community Interfirm Blitz and a corporate charity football matchbrought together teams from across the local business community, including Alternative Heat, Kane Group, ASEE Group, EOS IT Solutions and Clann Na Banna G4MO, for a day of friendly sporting competition and fundraising. The fundraising was further boosted by Alternative Heat’s participation in a Business Fives corporate charity football tournament, with all proceeds going to Air Ambulance NI.

Christine Mannion, from Alternative Heat Social & Wellbeing Committee, speaking on behalf of both Alternative Heat and Kane Group, said:
“We were delighted to bring colleagues together for a great day of sport and friendly competition, all in support of a service that could be needed by our families, friends and neighbours at any time. A huge thank you to all the teams who took part and to everyone who donated, raising £4,074 is a brilliant achievement for such an important cause.”

The charity Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for Northern Ireland.  The service delivers urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. The HEMS team attend patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs.  The aircraft can reach anywhere in the province within twenty-five minutes.

On average the medical team are called upon twice every day, whether that to a serious road traffic collision, farm or workplace accident, sport and leisure incident or a serious medical emergency.

Bébhionn Hardy, Community Fundraising Coordinator, at Air Ambulance NI, expressed her appreciation:

We are extremely grateful to everyone at Alternative Heat and Kane Group for their outstanding support in 2025. What a remarkable contribution that will help us continue to deliver critical care at the scene of emergency incidents. Partnerships with local businesses are vital to keeping our service operational.”

Air Ambulance NI extends its heartfelt thanks to Alternative Heat and Kane Group and all those who supported their fundraising efforts, helping to keep this essential service flying and saving lives.
