Mid Ulster Juvenile League has proudly donated £1,000 to Air Ambulance Northern Ireland a contribution raised through fines collected across the football season.
The donation has been made in memory of Aaron Moffett, the nephew of one of the League’s committee members, who sadly passed away earlier this year. The League wanted to honour Aaron’s memory by supporting a life-saving service that provides critical care across Northern Ireland.
Speaking on behalf of the League, Brian Robinson said: ‘This donation was a joint effort from the Mid Ulster Juvenile League in recognition of the vital work that is carried out by Air Ambulance NI.’
The helicopter can reach any part of NI in approximately 25 minutes, bringing highly trained doctors and paramedics directly to the scene. The charity relies entirely on donations and fundraising, needing £3 million annually, just over £8,200 every day, to continue saving lives. Since its launch in 2017, Air Ambulance NI has been tasked to over 5,000 incidents, delivering critical care where and when it is needed most. This £1,000 donation will support Air Ambulance NI in delivering its life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), which operates 365 days a year, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, bringing specialist doctors and paramedics directly to the scene of serious incidents.
