In appreciation for this service, the Morgan family held a fundraising coffee morning at Liatroim Fontenoys GAC club rooms. The local coffee morning was very well attended, and donations continued to be made after the event. Joseph and Dolores visited the charity’s airbase at the beginning of June to present the cheque, which will help the medical team continue to deliver emergency pre-hospital care.
Air Ambulance NI works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to provide the HEMS which plays an important role in emergency care in Northern Ireland. The Air Ambulance is capable of reaching any part of the province within an impressive 25 minutes from its airbase in Lisburn.
Averaging two missions a day, the medical team has responded to over 4,700 incidents since the inception of the service in July 2017.
