We are celebrating the outstanding achievements of our supporters following the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland Awards, held on Thursday 25 June at the beautiful Titanic Hotel Belfast.
The annual awards recognise the exceptional dedication of fundraisers, volunteers and organisations making a lasting difference across Northern Ireland, and it was a proud afternoon for the Air Ambulance NI family, with three supporters recognised for their remarkable commitment.
Ulster Bank received the Highly Commended award in the Fundraising Partnership of the Year category, recognising the incredible impact of its long-standing partnership with Air Ambulance NI. Through the passion and generosity of colleagues and customers, the partnership has raised significant funds to help ensure the charity can continue providing critical pre-hospital medical care across Northern Ireland. Gillian McCandless, Regional Engagement Manager, NI accepted the award on behalf of Ulster Bank.
Meanwhile, Hannah Babe was named Fundraising Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her inspiring commitment to supporting the charity following the life-changing road traffic collision that she survived. Turning her own experience into a powerful force for good, Hannah has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and vital funds to help others.
The Sky-Blue Ribbon Group was awarded Volunteer Group of the Year for its incredible fundraising efforts in memory of Lydia Ross. Inspired by Lydia’s love of Ballymena United Football Club, the group has united the local community in a heartfelt campaign that has raised an extraordinary amount for our charity while creating a lasting legacy in her memory. Lydia’s father Paul accepted the award on behalf of the group; Paul has been a true advocate for our charity, and we are very grateful for his constant support.
Everyone at Air Ambulance NI extends a huge congratulations to Ulster Bank, Hannah Babe and the Sky-Blue Ribbon Group on these well-deserved accolades. Their unwavering dedication, generosity and passion continues to make a real difference, helping to deliver critical pre-hospital care across Northern Ireland when every second counts.
