Friends of Lisa Walk Raises Vital Funds for Air Ambulance NI

Air Ambulance Northern Ireland is delighted to extend its heartfelt thanks to the Friends of Lisa group and the McKeever family for their generous donation in support of the charity’s lifesaving service.

The Friends of Lisa Walk brought family, friends and members of the wider community together at St Colmcille’s GFC in Grange, Co. Armagh, for a special fundraising event centred on community spirit, kindness and supporting others. The walk provided an opportunity for people of all ages to come together, enjoy time in one another’s company and show their support for a cause that means so much to those involved.

Organised by the Friends of Lisa group, the event demonstrated the incredible difference a community can make when people unite behind a shared purpose. Through the generosity of those who participated and supported the fundraising efforts, the group was able to make a meaningful contribution to Air Ambulance NI, helping the charity continue its vital work across Northern Ireland.

While supporting Lisa and her ongoing recovery remains at the heart of the group’s fundraising efforts, the donation to Air Ambulance NI also recognises the importance of having access to specialist emergency medical care when it is needed most.

Jade McGeary, representing the Friends of Lisa group, said:

“The Friends of Lisa Walk was a truly special occasion, bringing together family, friends and the wider community in a wonderful show of support. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, volunteered their time, donated or helped make the event possible.”

Air Ambulance NI is a charity held close to the hearts of communities across Northern Ireland, providing critical pre-hospital emergency medical care to people who are seriously ill or injured.

Bébhionn Hardy, Community Fundraising Coordinator from Air Ambulance NI said:

“The Friends of Lisa Walk is a wonderful example of a community coming together to support a family while also thinking of others who may need our service in the future. Events like this are incredibly special because they bring people together for a meaningful cause and demonstrate the generosity and compassion that exist within our local communities.

“Every donation makes a real difference to our work, helping us continue to deliver lifesaving care to patients across Northern Ireland. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the walk, helped organise the event, volunteered their time or made a donation. Their support is greatly appreciated.”
